I bought this cutter for simple styrofoam projects I saw on Pinterest and wanted to make myself. I’ve never ever used a hot knife cutter before and, honestly, I really lack DYI skills, but this tool is so intuitive and easy-to-use, my styrofoam shapes turned out just perfect. I’ve previously used a waxed knife to cut foam, but it was a big mistake - too much of a mess and quite dangerous for a sloppy crafter that I am. This knife, however, cuts in any direction like magic leaving clean edges and no mess (no more messy foam beads, yay)
Definitely a must-have for both beginner and pro crafters!

I used the hot knife foam cutter to make candy arrangements. I cut foam boards into hearts and circles. It cuts through foam like butter. The hot foam cutter was easy to assemble and easy to maneuver. It was awesome not having my floor full of messy foam balls. Im a first time user, I never knew this product existed until I saw it on YouTube. I'm never using a regular knife on foam again!!

I’ve never used a styrofoam cutter before so I was quite surprised by how easy it was to use. In the past I’ve used a box cutter or a razor hobby knife. Although the tool is lightweight plastic and feels like it could break it is surprisingly stronger than I imagined. It fell off my table to the hard wood floor and sustained absolutely no damaged. I like the clean cuts, ease of use, and the light weight. I’ve used plenty of soldering irons and the weight differences are remarkable. I really like this styrofoam cutter and I will be this quite a bit.

This tool is great for the hobbyist. Cuts cleanly through styro foam and leaves no crumbles of foam. Great for carving out mountains for my train layout.which made a huge difference in mine this year. Had a friend try it and now he wants one too. My best advice is to go very slowly when using it. Let the heated wire do the work . Don't pull or put pressure on the wire just guide it for best results. It also has great customer service. I highly recommend this tool but read all instructions and use is safely because the carving wires do get very hot.

I was surprised at how easily the cutter worked. I wanted to cut a piece of packing foam into three inch squares for a craft project. Having previously marked off the surface, I took the foam and cutter to the garage, for better ventilation, and prepared for the task. It took only a few moments to make the cuts. The wire went through the foam effortlessly.
