Awesome foam cutter. Works great had no issues cutting this 2 inch foam for my daughter birthday and my some DIY projects and the tool works almost like a hot knife, so fast and smooth. It is a excellent design and it heats up quickly, to about 300 C within seconds. Will recommend somebody else buy it!

Ordered this for my mother, as she wanted to try and make decorations for an upcoming party. Even though it was her first time cutting foam, she found it easy to use. The wire attachment cuts through foam really easily, but requires a super steady hand. We went with the normal bar attachment, which was far more forgiving. The cutter takes no more than 10 seconds to warm up. It cut through the 1 inch thick slab of foam with ease, remaining steady and cutting along the stencil we had laid out smoothly. The finished creation measured at nearly 4 feet tall and 1 foot with 7 inches wide; the cutter was not turned off during the entire process, except from when preparing to cut out the eye. Definitely recommend this for beginners. Will update the review later on we it goes through a few more uses.

I have been using this almost daily for the last 5 months. It works fabulously!! It isn't a laser, don't expect it to work like one. It heats up in seconds, and if I am not going to be immediately using it for another cut, I turn it off right away. I wipe it off with a folded up paper towel after each cut as it will smoke. You do have to use a back and forth motion, as your styrofoam will cool it off in the spot you are using. (which is to be expected since it is not a laser) Let the knife do the work, don't force it. The handle lets you set it down directly on the table without the tip hitting the table.

Model Railroading is a hobby of mine and I am using this Winons Foam Cutter with its Holing Tip to cut large pieces of 1 to 2 inch thick polystyrene foam insulation board to create scenery for my layout. It is great for this, as I was previously having to cut them out using a box cutter, hacksaw blade or even a jigsaw. But using this foam cutter is so much faster and easier! There is no mess, and it cuts cleanly and accurately. It literally took a minute to get it up and running as you only need to insert into the handle, connect the handle to the cord and plug the power adapter into the wall receptacle. It has an on/off switch in the handle and once turned on it heats up in 30 seconds! After use it only takes a minute to cool completely.

Its not often that things work better than you expected but this one honestly did! I ordered this because I do props and sets. I carve a few things and have always just used a saw and razor knives. Great results but takes a long time. Thought I would give this a try this year for our dragon. I LOVE IT! So fast and a lot cleaner than I thought it would be. Excellent even if it doesn't last!
