I bought this one first the value is excellent and is easier and safer to use. Works with many different type of foams Eva foam, styrofoam, insulation foam, polyurethane foam, polyethylene foam, foam poster board, upholstery foam, PE foam, foam board, etc...
I bought it for my sister she’s making all decorations for my niece 15th birthday and it works perfectly for for what she needs. May not be best for large blocks but worked great for 2 inch thick slabs. Do not rush cutting! That’s when you are likelier to get breaks.
What a wonderful product. Cuts through styrofoam like cutting through butter. It sure does beat my old steak knife that I just to use to cut my styrofoam that's for sure. Great product that I would suggest buying to anyone who needs to cut styrofoam. Recommended

I’m a model railroader and use foam insulation to create terrain on my layout. For years, I saw Hot Wire Foam demonstrations at train meets, but always felt the cost was way too high for the tools. Consequently, I learned how to create my own table top foam cutter, which works great! Perfect for large straight cuts, but not good for smaller cuts demanding the flexibility of these tools. I also tried simple cutters like Woodland Scenics. These work reasonably well, but lack the flexibility of this set.
I tested all of these tools as soon as they arrived, and they work great! The tips all heated quickly and were able to cut the foam in a matter of seconds. So far, I’m very pleased with this product and expect it will perform well in my applications.

At first I was afraid, I was petrified... but not really, it was pretty straightforward. However, we discovered though that if we applied enough pressure the foam cutter just glided fantastically, and our cuts came out better than the manufacturers. We cut dense foam and dry fast foam for cushions in our ocean rowing boat that we will be using to cross the Atlantic this winter. Very happy with the purchase, performed as well as we could have hoped and then some. Thanks!

My daughter and I are making a castle for a school project. We decided to use XPS foam which can be very difficult to cut, and make clean precise cuts. This product was the least expensive by far. It worked better than others I had purchased. The hot wire cuts through Corning pink XPS insulation board like hot knife through soft butter, you just have to be a bit patient and don't push it too fast....you will be rewarded with clean beautiful cuts. Great product, if used properly as per the directions and some common sense, this thing is a home run. So refreshing to have a product overdeliver on performance.

I have gone thru several foam cutter tools in the past year.
Most were poor quality and/or did not last long
When I got this I was very impressed! For a few dollars more you get more wand cutters.
As soon as I picked up the cutter, you can feel the difference in the quality compared to the others.
I just received it and only used it a few times, but it works great. I'm glad I got this, it's a keeper!
