Find your obd2 port (mine is under the dashboard), plug in the device, run a scan, lookup any codes, and then proceed with your chosen course of action. This is a very intuitive device, that in my opinion for the home auto maintenance individual is worth its price in gold.
If you’re looking to know what’s going on digitally under the hood, this couldn’t be easier to use and under stand. There is deeper information than I’ll personally ever be able to understand, but for the basic knowledge, it works for me. Thus, I can only highly recommend.

Had a cheaper code reader that kept saying my car had a small/large evape leak. Couldn't for the life of me figure it out. This code reader broke it down and let me check the vitals of my car quickly and accurately so I could pin point the problem. A $10 can of mass airflow sensor cleaner and a dirty MAF. Check engine light off and car runs great. A lot cheaper than the charcoal canister the dealer said it needed which would have cost over 2 grand. Definitely worth the price for this code reader.

Within hours of receiving it, I was able to quickly diagnose the problem (bad ignition coil), isolate the problem, KNOW that it was the only problem, and after the repair, ensure that there were no other problems.
This scanner/code reader has a lot more features than most others that I considered in the same price range.

This have saved me hundreds of dollars & headaches without being exaggerated. I’m not a mechanic or an expert so it took me a few tries and reading the manual a bit to use the basics . Like it would tell you if your car would pass before you go expend money on a test & fail. You can fix what’s wrong before you take it. It gives you the code# and name of the issue. So when you take it to the shop you don’t get scam . Most of the issue I can fix myself but with this I feel comfortable taking my cars to a mechanic and feel like I’m not getting rip off since I kinda have an idea of what’s wrong. The best thing about this is you, can save yourself from buying a piece of shit car that looks good but is a junk ! I’ve saved myself plenty of times from buying junk cars with this little tool. It pays it self from the first time you use it .

I own a Chevrolet Camaro RS LT 2018 and ive bought a reader long ago that did not work with a toyota highlander 2019 when i used the old one on the camaro it didnt work at all bad buy i suppose, but this code reader does everything it says it does and more, have issues with check engine light and dont know what it is? have that annoying check engine light that you know is not super serious but you want to remove it from your sight? this baby will help you read, delete and find the issues, better yet you can print these via computer and save the information when you have the time.it has saved me a lot of money of taking it with a mechanic for things that i could do for my self. 10/10 worth the buy.
