It was small but easy to use and had only 2 regular slides but didn’t really disappoint and would recommend if your not really looking for something big or expensive at the moment.
The microscope takes 1 AAA battery for the LED light. It has two rings - bottom ring to focus and top ring (on the eye piece) to zoom. But overall, it's super easy to use, even for my 8 year old. He's been roaming around looking at everything using the microscope which is great. For the price, I recommend it - it's probably too much magnification for any casual use like jewelry inspections and such, but to get a kid interested in science and asking question, this is more than good enough.
I have had a similar type of microscope for several years so when I saw this one, I thought I would give it a try. When family comes to visit the kids love to use the one, I have and it also fun for adults. worth grabbing before they are gone.
