If you've ever had a screw fall off the bit right before it seats, you already know how much momentum that moment kills.
Graddi™ GripLock is a compact magnetic screw stabilizer designed to solve that exact problem — not by changing how you work, but by improving the one moment where control matters most: the start of the drive.
Powered by a high-strength N52 neodymium magnetic system, GripLock creates a focused magnetic field at the tip of your bit. Screws stay centered, stable, and locked in place — even when working overhead, one-handed, or at uncomfortable angles.
Scroll down to see why experienced tradespeople say this is one of the smallest upgrades that makes the biggest difference.
GripLock doesn't just magnetize the screw — it stabilizes it. Its dual-magnet N52 core creates a concentrated magnetic field that holds screws firmly on the bit before driving begins.
Turn your hand upside down or work in tight spaces, and the screw stays exactly where you placed it instead of dropping away at the worst moment.
Most surface damage and stripped heads happen in the first second of driving.
By keeping the screw centered and steady, GripLock reduces bit slippage and cam-out as the screw bites.
That means cleaner heads, better alignment, and far fewer do-overs — especially when working one-handed.
GripLock slides onto any standard 1/4-inch driver bit in 2 seconds.
There's no added length, no bulky collar, and no special hardware required. Your reach, leverage, and hand feel stay the same — it simply makes the tools you already trust work better.
Built-in magnetism can be helpful — until it isn't. GripLock's magnetic force is removable.
Simply rub the bit or screwdriver tip against the non-magnetic side of the GripLock to demagnetize it. You stay in control, not the tool.

No. GripLock sits directly on the bit without adding any length to your setup. Your reach and leverage stay exactly the same as they would be with a bare bit. This is specifically designed for tight spaces where you're already struggling with angles - it adds stability without changing how far the screw sits from your hand.
That's exactly why GripLock is removable. When you're working in metal framing, around junction boxes, or anywhere magnetism becomes a problem, just slide it off the bit. Use it for the tricky overhead screws or one-handed cabinet installs, then remove it when you're fastening into metal where you need precision without magnetic interference.
Both. The magnetic hold keeps the bit centered in the screw head during the initial drive phase, which is when most cam-outs happen - especially if you're working at an angle or can't apply perfectly straight pressure. By keeping the screw stable and the bit seated properly from the start, you're far less likely to strip the head or slip out partway through driving.
You'll feel it. Once the screw has bitten into the material and is stable on its own, the magnetic hold becomes unnecessary. Most people leave it on through the entire drive since it doesn't interfere, but if you're working in a situation where you want zero magnetic pull (like near sensitive electronics or in tight metal assemblies), you can slide it off as soon as the screw catches - usually after the first few turns.
Most magnetized drivers have weak, inconsistent magnetism that works fine for small screws on a flat surface but fails when you're working overhead, at odd angles, or with heavier screws. GripLock uses two high-strength N52 neodymium magnets specifically positioned to create a stronger, more balanced magnetic field right at the bit tip. The difference shows up immediately when you're holding a 2-inch cabinet screw above your head or driving into a bracket you're holding with your other hand.
Neodymium magnets are extremely stable and don't lose meaningful strength under normal conditions. Unless you expose GripLock to extreme heat (above 176°F/80°C for extended periods) or physically damage it, the magnetic field will remain consistent indefinitely. The N52 grade magnets used in GripLock are among the strongest permanent magnets available, and they're designed to maintain their pull for decades. Five years from now, it'll hold a screw just as securely as it does today.
Neodymium magnets do have temperature sensitivity, but within the range of typical work environments, GripLock performs consistently. The magnets maintain full strength from well below freezing up to about 176°F (80°C). In a cold garage, you won't notice any difference. In a summer attic that might reach 130-140°F, performance remains normal. Only if you're working in extreme industrial heat or leaving it in direct sunlight on black roofing in peak summer might you see temporary strength reduction - and even then, it recovers fully when it cools down.
