I need an external game streaming capture card and stumble onto this after some research online. I'll say it a nice small piece of equipment that fits into my setup nicely. I like the fact in has in internal fan to keep the device cool during extended periods of use. I stream between 2 and 8 hours a day, so having a device that can handle the work load is a definite plus and less power draw onto my pc system.All in all, I've been pleased with this external card this past half year.

I use this as a video recorder, not really for gaming. It works perfectly and records directly to a micro SD card in MP4 format. It will record any video and sound that is playing on your TV or computer screen through the HDMI connection, but you have to use pass-through in order to see what you are recording. One press of the button starts and stops the recording, which is what I use it for. It works as a PVR but you have to be there to press the button to start and stop. The video quality is great and I haven't seen any sync problems between the video and audio in the clips. It's dead simple to use and a great device for what it does!

As the go-to IT person in my Church congregation, I was asked to set up a live stream during the 2020 pandemic shutdown. I purchased a Canon Vixia HF R800 video camera and hoped to pair it with . In conducting my research prior to purchase, the reviews I read on the device varied. However, my experience with this device was great. To get my stream onto the internet, I am using a Windows 10 laptop running OBS. I connected my camera to the Live Gamer Mini and the Mini to my computer. It worked flawlessly the first time. Windows recognized the device. It was not necessary to download and install any drivers. While I do not know how this device compares to others, it works great for our intended purposes. I would highly recommend this to someone who is getting started in live streaming and is looking to save some money over similar famous brand devices.

I had been looking into recording various videos and editing them with the option to stream if I wanted to and this was suggested by a friend. I thought it would be a starting point and I could upgrade as I needed but there is no need to upgrade. The quality of video and sound is fantastic, easy to setup and install and the various options for recording opens many possibilities. Coupled with an SD card and it makes it even easier to save the recordings from any HDMI source.
