My children are having a great time with this robot. They enjoy all the different dance moves he makes, along with the music he plays. You can record your voice as well and the robot will play it back loud and clear. To keep things fresh (because even the coolest toy gets "old" after a while), you can program the robot's moves and make him do unique moves/dances each time! He tells stories and responds to certain audio prompts as well. It's been great watching my kids play with this and I'm super happy we got him. From ALL of us--5 stars!
The remote control is nice. You need a small screwdriver to insert batteries, but it takes like 2 minutes. Charge robot for 2 hours and you are ready to play! (I charged it overnight, and it’s still charged, like 4 days later). When you first look at the remote there are a lot of buttons. But the left side of remote controls the left side of the robot, and the right side remote buttons control the right side robot movements! I especially love that this robot can tell bedtime stories.
it is a bigger robot compared to others I've looked at for my son. This robot also has several interesting features that allow you to communicate with it. Voice comand is our favorite. There is "Action Programming" and you can also control the robot with a app on your smart device. My son has had hours of play time with the robot.
Even his younger cousins love the singing, storytelling, and dancing interactions with the robot. There are many ways to engage with it, the music is current with Pop songs, and it will entertain children of all ages.
My daughter is four and loves Carel. It dances, responds to voice commands and is programmable. It is pretty easy for a four year old to use the remote. The only thing I would say is easier control of the volume, even though there is a volume control button on the middle of the remote. Overall I would purchase it again.
This is a very neat robot toy that would make an excellent gift for someone. There are several different modes to choose from on the remote control. I really like the sounds that it makes, especially the one that sounds like R2D2 from Star Wars. It has a sensor and will also respond and move if you get very close to it while it is powered on. All in all, a great gift and a pretty neat concept!
